Gotro: Nusrat Jahan Calls Relation Between Mother And Son In The Film ‘Lovable’
Actress turned politician Nusrat Jahan who has been a recent victim of trolling, has called the film Gotro an offbeat movie. She said that the movie shows mother and son relation who is not even of the same caste in a lovable manner.

It is to be noted here that Nusrat Jahan was badly trolled for wearing sindoor (worn by Hindu women) while taking oath in the Parliament. People even criticized for marrying a Hindu boy and not following the religion but she said that she represents an "inclusive India".

“Penned down an honest Review for #Gotro. Hope I could do justice to my emotions & the efforts of @shibumukherjee @nanditawindows @Nigel_Akkara @ManaliManishaDe #AnashuaMajumdar @shreyaghoshal  @OM_Sahani15 @DevlinaKumar @imannmusic @SurojitMusician @onindochatt @WindowsNs & othrs.” She tweeted.

She has review of the film in the Bengali. Shiboprosad Mukherjee and Nandita Roy’s directorial film Gotro, which is releasing today, deals with such society stigmas.

Gotro is about a Hindu aged woman and her Muslim caretaker. They are from different religious background and culture but still they share an emotional bonding like a mother and son. Their bonding in the film has put up a question that is it really necessary to belong from same religion, same Gotro to be emotionally connected with someone?

The filmmakers have released the trailer of the film and have received positive response. The trailer is a continuation of the teaser only with little more explanation of the story and characters.
